The Return

Two months ago, I queued up a bunch of written posts and then told you guys I was shutting down the illustration department for a little bit so that I could recharge my creative battery. And even though things got a little quieter around here, I would take the time off again to ensure that I craft things I really like, and hopefully, you’ll really like as well. In a later blog post, I’ll sum up my hiatus experience in a way that may be helpful for any of you guys thinking of doing the same thing, so be on the lookout for that.

But, as of today, I’m fully back at Second Lunch. And I’ve brought a whole bunch of new material with me. I won’t say too much about the new content, but I will say this; what made it easier for me to sit down and create things again for Second Lunch was that I remembered one simple and immutable truth about blogging: This is whatever you want it to be. This has been and always will be one of the mantras I use when creating content, in fact, without that little mission statement, Second Lunch wouldn’t have things like Ikea Unicorns, fictional books, or even Ernesto.

Ok, everyone, it’s great to be back in the blogosphere. Keep on the lookout for new content hitting Second Lunch at my regular posting schedule (Every Monday 10AM EST), unless otherwise noted.

Oh, just one more thing before we get back down to business. I thought Ernesto could use another friend around here, so I rescued a cat from one of those LOL meme sites and brought him over here to Second Lunch…
